Target group
The Basic preparation course for the pharmaceutical knowledge examination (KP) is aimed at international pharmacists in the recognition process. The course specifically prepares both for the knowledge examination of the competent licensing authority and for the job market.
Admission requirements
- Proof of completed pharmaceutical studies abroad (by presenting a certified diploma)
- Proof of application for the granting of the German licence to practise pharmacie at the responsible regional council (by submitting a confirmation of receipt)
- Proof of German language skills at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (by presenting a recognised B2 certificate from Goethe-Institut, Telc or ÖSD, no older than 2 years)
- Passed the specialist language examination of the responsible medical association or participation in the internal Intensive preparation course for the pharmaceutical language examination (FSP)
Lecturers
Lecturers of the Basic preparation course for the pharmaceutical knowledge examination (KP) are qualified pharmacists specialists with relevant experience in medical teaching.
Course objective
In Intensive course preparation for the pharmaceutical knowledge examination (KP), the relevant structures as well as the specifics of pharmaceutical professional competences are taught under the guidance of a licensed pharmacists.
E-Learning
In order to deepen the acquired knowledge, the participants have various e-learning formats at their disposal, such as quizzes, interactive scenarios or simulations.
Mentoring programm
With the mentoring programm, participants are assigned advanced native-speaking pharmaceutical and medical students who act as mentors and advise them in regular personal meetings and, where possible, provide concrete help with pharmaceutical and medical questions and about learning methods.
Methodology
The Basic preparation course for the pharmaceutical knowledge examination (KP) is characterized by a large variety of methods. One focus is on trial-oriented clinical case studies. This activates already existing knowledge and imparts new knowledge to the participants, which is closely related to the examination as well as to their later professional reality. The intensive course is based on the didactic concept of Blended Learning, which combines traditional classroom teaching and e-learning.
Funding
The course is conseived for self-payers from abroad.
Certificate of attendance
Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a certificate of participation.
Evaluation
For quality assurance purposes, the intensive course is evaluated twice (in the middle and at the end of the course) by the participants and the lecturers.
